The Cooling Process
Air conditioning involves two key steps that work together constantly – one happening inside your home and one outside.
Inside your home (the “cold side”), warm indoor air moves across a chilled evaporator coil filled with refrigerant. As the refrigerant expands, its pressure drops, allowing it to absorb heat and moisture from the air. The newly cooled air is then pushed back through your home’s ducts for even, reliable comfort.
Outside your home (the “hot side”), the refrigerant, now carrying the heat pulled from indoors, is compressed and sent through the outdoor coil. As outdoor air passes over the coil, the refrigerant releases the trapped heat and returns to a liquid state. A powerful fan helps move that heat away from your home.
This cycle repeats continuously, removing heat and humidity from inside and creating a cooler, more comfortable living space.
